Where we stay, work and shop
While the sun sets among the HDB flats, the road lamps start to light up.

Sushi and ramen feast
Plates of sushi on the sushi belt, coming over to tempt you!
If only there are more roes on this California maki.
Salmon mango temaki is definitely the uniquely tropical sushi you can't find in Japan!
Look at the size of the ramen bowl!
The thick soup, tasty teriyaki chicken, smooth yolk and ramen that bounces on your teeth!

Outside the huge and expensive ION
A huge nutmeg placed at the entrance of ION on Orchard Road.
Looking up the huge nutmeg, suddenly found the roof of ION is been held up by pillars that look like trees.

When did you last look up to the ceiling?
Rows of lanterns hanging on the ceiling of a food-court. The ceiling lights are too glaring but by converting to monochrome, I could make them work with the lanterns instead of against them.
The complicated webs found on the Esplanade ceiling. Since the color version is monotone anyway, I converted it to monochrome to make the structure stand out more.

Around HDB Estates
At ground floor of a new HDB estate, a long corridor cuts across, giving a surreal sense of perspective.
In an old HDB estate like Chinatown, people are still hanging out their washed clothes on bamboos to dry.
A maid in slippers strolling with a dog in shoes.

Two brown food two different textures
Roast chicken with samba sauce. The oily yet crispy looking skin plus the red and hot looking samba sauce, how could you even resist?
The smoothness of the thick white cream on the carrot cake brings out the dryness of the cake, yet at the same time makes it look fulfilling.
Photographs are taken using Nokia N97 camera phone. The roast chicken with samba sauce is from Jack's Place, which is also famous for its samba steak. The carrot cake is from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafe.

Lunch at a Hong Kong cafe
Char siew rice. The char siew that were juicy but not too sweet were a mixture of fat and skinny meat that you just can't stop chewing!
Fried carrot cake. Crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside! Plus the fried hebihiam spread on top, really an appetiser to die for!
Mango pudding is a norm dessert at most Chinese restaurants.
This C.Nai Hong Kong cafe located in East Coast Park serves almost authentic and delicious Hong Kong fare. The only issue is that they are slightly on the pricey side.

Different looks of clouds in Singapore
Is there winter in Singapore? Nope, it's just a hot afternoon and these are just some pre full-bloom trees.
Does this look like somebody has just washed the sky and left a bunch of soap bubbles?
At times, the clouds are so beautiful that the sky looks like a piece of oil painting!
